Barbotine is pottery made by molding mud containing clay. This is a very gorgeous plate with a rose flower motif. The large roses are like velvet.
At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Salin-les-Bains in the Franche-Comté region produced a large number of colourful Barbotine ceramics to decorate the tables.
It is also wonderful to decorate in the interior.
There is a blue stain on the back that seems to have been formed during production. In addition, there are some parts that look like stains due to penetration throughout, but I think that also adds charm to this plate.
It is in good condition as an antique item, but it has been a long time, so there are some stains and scratches. Please understand before purchasing.
This is the price of one plate. No backstamp.
